10 Seconds That Could Change Your Life
Ten seconds. That’s all it takes for our new 64-slice computed tomography (CT) scanner to provide your physician the highest-quality images ever available of your internal structures.
Our new AquilonTM 64 CFX scanner empowers our physicians to capture precise images of any area of your body, including your heart and lungs. The new scanner can help diagnose kidney, liver, lung, spine and blood diseases, cancer, tumors and cysts as well as blood clots, hemorrhages and infections. It even allows us to detect signs of heart disease at its earliest stages.
Our new scanner makes just one pass, simultaneously gathering 64 different X-ray images. An on-board computer then compiles the images into three-dimensional pictures of your heart, blood vessels, lungs and bones – whatever your physician needs to see. These images allow your physician to make earlier diagnoses for more effective treatments.
And our new 64-slice CT scanner is one of only a handful like it in our entire state, keeping Meadows Regional Medical Center at the forefront of diagnostic technology.
